The full story of the rape of a businesswoman by Russell Brand in Los Angeles

 

Russell Edward Brand was born on 4 June 1975, is an English comedian, actor, writer, and activist. Known for his flamboyant, loquacious style and manner, Brand has received three British Comedy Awards and nomination for a BAFTA Award.

Russell Brand is recently at the center of a major media storm. Accusations have surfaced against him, alleging rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse over a seven-year period during the peak of his fame.

One of the four allegations is " Raping a businesswoman in Los Angeles"

A businesswoman accuses Brand of raping her in his Los Angeles home. She said that she had been intimate with Brand and they previously had consensual sex in 2012.

In the early hours of 1 July 2012, Brand pleaded with her to visit his house. When she got there, he asked her to join him and a "friend" for a threesome in his bedroom.

 After rejecting his suggestions of a threesome, he pushed her against a wall and raped her without using a condom.

After leaving his house, she said Brand sent her a text at 3.29 am, which said: "I'm sorry. That was crazy and selfish. I hope you can forgive me, I know that you're a lovely person.” The woman told Brand that she had been scared and felt taken advantage of, ‘When a girl says NO it means no’

She said she was treated by a rape crisis center following the alleged attack but declined to file a police report at the time due to concerns about her reputation and the backlash she could face. She provided reporters with screenshots of text messages written after the incident, during which she wrote “when a girl says no, it means no,” and Brand replied that he was “very sorry.” Investigators also reviewed her medical records from the crisis center and subsequent counseling sessions to corroborate her account. Russell Brand’s Response:

The actor and comedian didn’t remain silent on the matter. He posted a video denying the criminal allegations. In his statement, he did not specify the exact nature of the accusations but was adamant in his denial.
