5 Effective supplements to take to avoid any complications

Image
We all know When President Donald Trump was diagnosed with COVID-19, his pill arsenal included Vitamin D and zinc.  In an Instagram chat with actress Jennifer Garner in September, infectious diseases expert Anthony Fauci touted vitamins C and D as ways that might generally boost the immune system. “If you’re deficient in vitamin D,” he noted, “that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself, taking vitamin D supplements.” Here’s what we know about five supplements getting plenty of attention around COVID-19: 1-  Vitamin D Vitamin D, commonly known for its role in bone health, also helps make proteins that kill viruses and bacteria, especially in the respiratory tract. Unfortunately, Vaccines won’t be the cure all in 2021

Image
What will 2021 be like? Are we going to travel? And will travel be like in the good old days or more like the introspective, isolated, locked-down mess that 2020 has been? Vaccines won’t be the cure all in 2021 First of all, it won’t even be until middle of 2021 before a significant portion of the world’s population gets vaccinated, enough to at least break the chain and slow down the transmission. Complicated logistics for distribution and the time required to produce mass quantities are among the primary causes for slow rollout. Many developing and underdeveloped parts of the world like India, Indonesia, Africa, Brazil, etc, simply lack the infrastructure to store and distribute the vaccine across millions of people. The hotter climate at these places will also pose a major challenge. Keep in mind that even if you’re one of the lucky few to get the first dose of the vaccine, you can’t really roam about freely just after the initial shot. You’ll most likely have to w

5 techniques to overcome the feeling of death anxiety

Image
Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists. Most people don’t like to think or talk about death. Even though it’s inevitable that every one of us will die, dread, anxiety, and fear still surrounds death  even the word alone. We try to avoid thinking about it. But in doing so, we actually affect our mental and physical health negatively more than we know.  Death anxiety can be perfectly normal. The fear of the unknown and what happens afterward is a legitimate concern. But when it starts interfering with how you live your life, it becomes problematic. And for people who don’t find the right coping methods, it’s possible for all that anxiety to cause mental pain and stress. Because death is such an unwelcome topic for most people, we immediately try to get it out of our head by doing things to distract ourselves. Death anxiety is defined as “the state in which an individual experiences apprehension, worry, or fear related to death and dying” . In the Nursing Ou

The side effects of COVID-19 vaccines and messages from volunteers

Image
No one vaccine can be side-effect free. Most vaccines deliver 'reactogenic' side-effects, which are usual in nature. Moderna is not only the first Pharma company who will be rolling out a vaccine on such a large scale, but their vaccine reportedly also carries a whopping 94.5% efficacy rate, leaving fellow competitors like Oxford-Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Sputnik V behind. While there is no vaccine which does not deliver side-effects, it's important to be aware of them, nonetheless. According to reports, Pfizer, which comes backed with a 90% safety rate induced 'hangover' like symptoms in patients post inoculation. Similar ones were also observed in volunteers part of the Oxford study and the ones who have been injected with the Russian vaccine, Sputnik V. One side-effect which can be expected post vaccination can be a low-grade fever. However, it's not an alarming sign. Fever happens when the biochemical compounds activate the immune cells, which then
